Immediately after the start of Russian aggression in Ukraine, the Archdiocese of Ivano-Frankivsk announced that it wanted to start offering free medical care to all people affected by the war.
Among them are more than 1,000 needy people, especially those internally displaced persons who are housed in the archdiocesan institutions – seminary, high school, youth center, etc. The clinic’s administration stated that around 3,000 free medical services had been provided since the beginning of the war. The most frequently requested treatments include a general examination of the physical condition of children and adults, clinical (laboratory) tests and consultations with other specialists.
The clinical staff, consisting of 90 doctors, covers the following areas – general medicine for children and adults, cardiology, radiology, traumatology, endocrinology, psychotherapy, urology, oncology, ophthalmology department, ENT department, etc. You get a free examination afterwards the appointment and a short check of the social status on site.
In addition to providing the above-mentioned medical services, the clinic staff does voluntary work and helps all those in need during this difficult time. In addition, a certain part of the male team has already been drafted into the armed forces. After all, the clinic team prays together every day before starting work for the speedy end of the war and for peace in Ukraine.
